Spring Break 2022 Day 5 Disneyland…again!

We couldn’t end the week without another trip to our happy place. This trip wasn’t about the rides instead we did some activities the kids have been wanting to do. Tessa has been waiting to join the Alice in Wonderland Bakery cupcake decorating activity that is apart of the Food and Wine Festival. Only 32 kids get to join per show so we headed there first. We arrived early so we stopped to say hi to Goofy in his chef attire.

Then it was time to wait in line for the cupcake class. Tessa was so excited! She saw kids wearing the Alice chef hat last trip and couldn’t wait to wear hers. She wore it the entire day!

They waited with their helper while I attempted to find a place to record their experience. They ended up being far away and hard to catch on video.

The show was centered around a new Disney Jr show featuring Alice’s great great granddaughter. The kids each received a cupcake to decorate with festive sprinkles.

After the show they added the finishing touches to their cupcakes and we saved them to enjoy after lunch.

Another thing on our to do list was to draw Mirabel from Encanto. Lucky for us the cupcake decorating was at 12pm and drawing Mirabel was at 1pm so we headed there next. This character was hard to draw and the instructor went fast! Tessa did a great job though. Landon decided to draw King Boos mansion instead. He has become addicted to Mario, Luigi and King Boo recently.

Then we had lunch and cupcakes. Landon decided he wanted to watch the 3D Mickey’s Philharmagic show. I’m so happy shows are back because seeing the kids enjoy them makes me so happy. Then we headed to ride Ariel. Landon was full of weird smiles and expressions today.

We stopped to get Landon a churro (a treat he earned for being patient in the morning while I finished up some last minute work before leaving). Tessa decided to wait and have funnel cake at Disneyland. Then we waited in line for our free Magic Key reusable straw.

On our way into Disneyland we caught the short Frozen parade.

Then stopped for Tessa’s funnel cake.

Landon decided to use some gift card money to buy a Star Wars toy and Tessa chose new Frozen Barbies (because they had different outfits than her other ones). She decided to wait until we got home to open them.

We rode Space Mountain and then all managed to fit in one Autopia car.

Then they saw cast members setting up for the Pixar Pals Dance Party so we finished off the night with some dancing. Before Disneyland closed they both loved these dances parties so I’m glad they are making a come back.
