Parenting

I figure since I’m no expert I should read up on how to be the best parent to Tessa. I really want to focus on what I say and how I say it to her, so I ordered this book:

I’ve just browsed it so far since some stuff relates to when she is older. For now I’m going to focus on praising her efforts not her ability, saying “yes” instead of “no” (example: yes it would be fun to play with the stove but it isn’t safe for babies so let’s play with this instead), and not saying “you’re ok”.

It’s going to be a lot of effort and patience but I think it will be worth it in the long run.
