This morning we took the kids to get their first dose of the Covid vaccine. With back to school starting and our cruise in November I knew it was time. Landon cried when I told him this morning he had to get a shot even though the doctor said the next set of shots isn’t until you are nine years old. He eventually explained that he doesn’t like the doctor band aids because they are super sticky. So we decided to bring our own band aids from home. When I told Tessa she wasn’t really phased. That wasn’t the case once we arrived. She started bawling the moment we walked into the room. Landon was extremely brave and got his shot first and didn’t cry at all. Tessa cried but recovered quickly. They both colored pictures and then we headed home. They go back August 2nd to get their second dose so fingers crossed for no tears on our two!
Tess started complaining about her ear hurting a few days before the 4th of July but I figured she just had been swimming a lot and had some water stuck. On July 5th I did an e-visit and the doctor’s response was that she was ok. Yesterday she was complaining a lot so I made her an appointment for today. Turns out she has a double ear infection in her left ear! I felt horrible. We got her prescriptions and are ready for her to start feeling better soon.
