Tessa and my nursing journey has come to an end. The last time she nursed was February 1st. That night has had her special drink (chocolate milk) and then said crib. I asked her if she wanted boobies (for a few nights she was having both her special drink and boobies) she said “No, boobies are for babies and I’m a big girl”. So that was that. She was officially ready to give them up. My goal was to let her self wean and we achieved that. I never told her boobies were just for babies she came up with that on her own. I cried that night knowing our special bond was over. Although she is growing up it makes me proud to have been able to nurse her for almost 2 full years.
