Tessa had her 6 month check up today. She weighs 19 lbs 4 oz and is 26 inches long. I was telling the dr that I was concerned she was only eating 3-4 mins per side and she said not to worry because she is healthy and “has a big belly”. She also said we could start giving Tessa rice cereal once a day to get her used to eating with a spoon and that at this age it isn’t for nutritional purposes.
While the dr was talking to me Tessa decided to tear up the paper she was sitting on. The dr was impressed with how well she was sitting and that she focused/smiled when you talked to her. She also said Tessa would start noticing herself in the mirror soon, but she already does and loves looking at herself. She said it is good she gets an opportunity to play with other babies and that soon she will know they are babies like herself and not adults.
Our visit ended with Tessa getting 4 shots! This month she got the flu shot along with her other shots. She was so brave and didn’t cry until the 4th one! Some cuddling from Mommy with Cindy and her binky and she was quickly ok. Once we got home Tessa was cuddly and wanted to nurse a lot.
