She’s almost one! Crazy to think that we almost have a one year old. I’m going to cherish this last month. This month has been busy! I feel like Tessa is learning or doing something new everyday.
Tessa started this month off with just pulling herself up to a standing position, then she started holding onto our hands and taking steps, then she was taking steps around the ottoman or couch. Now she is walking with her baby stroller and even pushes it sideways. She has more confidence now and will bend down with one arm to pick something up from the ground while standing.
She has decided to skip crawling and still hates being on her belly. Instead she scoots/hops on her butt all over the house. She can go far too!
This month she can started giving lots of love and kisses. It’s so cute when she climbs up on you and gives you a big hug and puts her head on your chest.
A 5th tooth appeared this month causing lots of sleepless nights and poor nursing. Glad we are back to waking only twice a night. She has also started eating more finger foods which she enjoys. Her favorite are bananas and puff snacks. Tessa loves water and can now drink it from a sippy cup on her own.
This month she has started to say “hot” and says lots of other phrases. She can sign the word “more” and we are currently working on the sign for “water”. She also waves hi/bye all the time.
Her favorite toy is her activity table. She loves to walk around it and answer the phone. She also likes to take her toys from one container and move them to another. She is also unpacking her picnic basket or little people storage box.
Peek a boo is her all time favorite activity. She will try to hide behind anything.
Tessa also started Gymboree Play and Music this month which has helped her gain confidence, interact with other babies, and learn to clap.
Although another month has passed some things have stayed the same. She still loves to be outside and go on walks. Disneyland is one of her favorite weekend activities. And she starts dancing the minute she hears music.
Can’t wait to experience her first birthday with her next month.
